How Do You See Yourself, activity: “An Ideal Self”  |  Clay and Writing on A4 size Paper  |  Workshop  |  2014

Participants were instructed beforehand to think about their expectations for their ideal self. A session is then conducted wherein participants are to mould a piece of clay into the figure they think represents them, as well as laying out on a piece of paper the circumstances surrounding it. Artist would converse with them throughout the session about their personal experiences which concern this self-image.

It requires all parties involved to interact in an intimate environment and sharing their stories. It is agreed upon that nobody can avoid outward criticism, but they handle it in different ways. However, possibilities remain that another sense of self would emerge.
